So awesome! Going big in Japan!
An awesome interview with Ben Conrad of Logan, aka the lead designer of the title sequence of Zombieland.
Congrats to David Rigby, winner of a competition to condense a favorite film into six frames.
Since I got back from Antartica, I’ve been working non-stop on a Sprint commercial campaign. It was a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. In fact, I was so busy, I failed to note that Zombieland came out on Blu Ray & DVD this week. I am very excited for it to get out there and for people to see it.

Band Of Horses - No One’s Gonna Love You
I put this song in Zombieland when Columbus falls asleep on the couch with 406. Then last night I was lucky enough to go see Band Of Horses play. They are awesome. Got to meet the band afterwards and thank them for letting me put the song in the movie. Super nice guys.

Check out the Pro Nails video I did with Kid Sister & Kanye West if you haven’t already seen it.
The Washington Post did a really nice article on local boy done good.
Quick guide to the SITGES ZOMBIE WALK:
1. Remember you are not alive, so your haggard appearance needs to reflect it.
2. Walk like a real zombie, dragging your legs and begging for brains.
3. The starting gun will be fired at 20:00 at the Miramar Building. Get in position with the rest of the zombies and follow the Guides. Don’t stray off, the big party is happening along the route.
4. If you don’t come zombiefied, go straight to the free make-up zone from 12:00 on at the Miramar Building.
5. Come see zombie movies at SITGES 09 to learn the good manners of the non-living.
Zombieland won the audience award at the Sitges Film Festival. I am very proud of the fact that I gave my acceptance speech entirely in Spanish. Here is a transcription:
“Thank you so much Sitges Festival for me this award give. I am very very erect at the idea of receiving such a brave congratulation. I am very happy you this movie like and hope you to come me here again. Good luck!”
I met Ivan Reitman at the film festival. Psyched for him to see the movie. Wonder what he will think of the Ghostbusters moment!
October 2007: Ruben Fleischer joins Tumblr.
October 2009: Ruben Fleischer’s major motion picture directorial debut, Zombieland, finishes out the weekend as the highest grossing movie at the box office.
The man makes good decisions. Congrats, Ruben!
