I have long said it, but now here is some official confirmation, LA has the best meat in America.
This article is a great summation of the current state of delis, and “that Southern California boasts ‘more delicatessens of higher quality, on average, than anywhere else in America.’”
And if you haven’t been to Langer’s I can’t urge you more strongly. The best pastrami in the country hands down. Please do yourself a favor and make a pilgrimage and go enjoy.
